Forget perfect. Give yourself permission to play.
Let’s Make Art Wonky Again…
EMBRACE
IMPERFECTION
Come and make art without worrying about getting it right.
Forget perfect lines, so-called correct proportions and whether you're “good at it”. These workshops are about playing, finding beauty in imperfection, and embracing your own natural way of making.
BE IN THE
MOMENT
Remember being little, when you used to just…draw?
We'll get back to that feeling- being playful and completely in the moment, finding joy in unexpected shapes, colours and ideas. Let's remember how much fun making things can be.
PERMISSION
TO PLAY
Forget the constraints you've been taught.
Throw away the rulebook, turn off your inner critic, and make some wonky, silly art — without needing to know what the finished piece will look like… You have full permission!
WONK IN PROGRESS
Start somewhere. See what happens.
A little guidance. A lot of room to play.
Each workshop starts with a theme and some inspiration from me- then we get stuck in. I'll show you techniques, introduce ideas and give you plenty of prompts to get you going- but what you make is completely up to you.
We'll work with paints, pens, pencils, collage, pattern, and mixed media, depending on the workshop. Everything you need is provided, and you'll leave with something you've made yourself.
Small groups. Friendly atmosphere. All abilities welcome.
Hello! I'm Charlotta
I'm an artist, illustrator and lifelong maker of things. I've spent more than 20 years working in the creative world, but somewhere along the way I realised that the part I love most is simply having ideas and collaborating with others to bring them to life!
I'm naturally drawn to people and I love creating things that bring people together. I'm a big believer in kindness, curiosity and sharing a bit of joy wherever you can- and I think making things together is a pretty lovely way to do that.
I love art that feels human — wonky lines, unexpected colours, odd little details that make me smile, and things that don't look like they came out of a rulebook.
And I really miss the freedom we had as children to draw, paint and make things without stopping to wonder whether we were doing it properly or what it could lead to.
That's the feeling I want to share through Wonk in Progress.
I want to create spaces where grown-ups can put down their inner critic for a couple of hours, get their hands covered in paint and remember that making something doesn't have to have a purpose, be productive or be perfect.
Just make it because you want to.
I'll bring the ideas, materials and encouragement. You bring yourself, an open mind and whatever weirdness you fancy.
Let's see what happens.
